I’ve always been in love with the little white dog. It all started about 25 years ago when I was working as a nurse in homecare. I was looking to adopt a little white poodle when I started talking to Marge Rozik. For those of you who don't know about Marge Rozik, she took over the Villa Malta line many many years ago and really brought the Maltese a long way. Her dogs are famous around the world. Debbie Martin and Debbie Palmeiri took over the Villa Malta line when Marge passed away a few years ago. I owe them many thanks for helping me learn the ropes in the world of dog shows. Anyway, she told me that I should get a Maltese so I did. I got my first Maltese from her.
That was almost 25 years ago. I've since married the man of my dreams. He is as much a part of our breeding program as I am. We started breeding a few years later and have been breeding ever since. We love what we do so much. We can’t imagine our lives without all our little furbabies. They are our life and are very much Harry and my kids. We don’t have any human kids so these are our kids and we love them as our children.
We just entered the show world with our little boy Elroy. We are hoping that he grows because he is very very tiny. He is absolutely gorgeous though. We have wanted to show for a long time and finally decided to start with this guy. We believe all our dogs are beautiful but this little guy is our heart and soul. He is such a little angel. I’m really hoping he does well in the ring. He got 2nd place in his first show. His brother took 1st place. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that he gains a little weight before the next show.
We are very excited to be in the world of showing
Maltese. We are very hopeful that we will have many more show prospects
in the near future. I’ll keep this site updated on our progress as
well as Elroy’s.
